- Cylindrical Cell
- Cylindrical batteries are renowned for their structural strength, offering excellent resistance to impacts and external pressures, which results in high safety. Additionally, their streamlined production processes provide the advantage of efficient large-scale manufacturing. However, the cylindrical shape creates space between cells due to its rounded form, leading to a low-density structure. To overcome this limitation, efforts are underway to increase the size or apply tabless technology to enhance energy density. Recently, the 46 series batteries have attracted significant attention in the electric vehicle (EV) battery market.
